On Saturday, Sept. 13 and Sunday, Sept. 14, GO buses will replace trains as we carry out important track maintenance work for future, frequent service. GO buses will run between Oakville and Clarkson GO and then direct between Clarkson GO and Union Station.
Lakeshore West GO train service will run between West Harbour and Oakville GO.
Niagara Falls GO train service will run between Niagara Falls and Oakville GO.
There will be no GO Transit service at Port Credit, Long Branch or Mimico GO and there will be no GO train service west of Exhibition GO. Here are some transit options:
Travelling from Port Credit GO:
Eastbound toward Union:
- Regular early morning GO bus route 18B or 18J to Union Station will still run.
Westbound to Clarkson (to connect with GO bus shuttle service):
- Take MiWay Route 14 W Lorne Park to Clarkson GO.
- Take MiWay Route 23 W Lakeshore to Clarkson GO.
Westbound to other GO stations:
- Early morning GO bus route 18J to West Harbour GO will still run.
- Early morning GO bus route 18H to Oakville GO will still run.
Travelling from Long Branch GO:
Eastbound toward Union:
- TTC Streetcar 501 to King Station and TTC Subway, southbound to Union Station.
Westbound to Clarkson (to connect with GO bus shuttle service):
- MiWay Route 23 W Lakeshore to Clarkson GO.
Travelling from Mimico GO:
Eastbound toward Union:
- TTC Route 76 northbound to Royal York Station, then TTC subway Line 2 eastbound to St. George Station, then TTC Line 1 southbound to Union Station.
Westbound to Clarkson (to connect with GO bus shuttle service):
- Walk to Islington Ave at Judson St. and take TTC bus Route 110 to Long Branch GO station, then take MiWay Route 23 to Clarkson GO.
Travelling from Exhibition GO:
Eastbound toward Union:
- Walk to King St West at Atlantic Ave. and take the TTC Streetcar 504 to Union Station.
- To catch the direct GO bus to Clarkson or Oakville GO, head to Union Station Bus Terminal. You can use this map to help guide you through Union Station and the Union Station Bus Terminal.
Westbound to Clarkson (to connect with GO bus shuttle service):
- Walk to Atlantic Ave at King St West and take TTC bus Route 63 north to Ossington Station, then take TTC Subway Line 2 westbound to Islington Station, then take TTC bus Route 110 to Long Branch GO, then take MiWay bus Route 23 to Clarkson GO.
There are also some late-night service adjustments on Friday, Sept. 12.
Replacement GO buses may depart at different times than train schedules.
On Friday, Sept. 12, there will be two extra late-night westbound train trips from Union Station to Exhibition GO. On Saturday, Sept. 13 and Sunday, Sept. 14, throughout the day, trains will run between Union Station and Exhibition. Check your updated schedules.
If you’re travelling from the Mississauga area: On Saturday, Sept. 13 only, we’re adding two Milton line trains:
- NEW! 12:54 p.m. train departing Milton GO, making all stops to Union Station, arriving at 1:57 p.m.
- NEW! 6:29 p.m. train departing Union Station, making all stops to Milton GO, arriving at 7:39 p.m.
- Please use Lisgar, Meadowvale, Streetsville, Erindale, Cooksville or Dixie GO stations to connect to Union Station. If you are travelling to Exhibition GO, please connect to Lakeshore West special train service at Union Station.
- From Port Credit GO, it is approximately a 15-minute drive to Cooksville GO. If you are travelling by local transit, connect to MiWay route 2 N, to Hurontario St. at John St., and it is approximately a 5 minute walk to Cooksville GO.
- From Long Branch GO, it is approximately a 12-minute drive to Dixie GO. If you are travelling by local transit, walk southwest towards Lake Shore Blvd. W to connect to MiWay route 31 N to Dixie GO.
- From Mimico GO, it is approximately a 20-minute drive to Dixie GO.
- Parking is available on a first come, first served basis. Here is a list of available parking spots per station:
- Lisgar GO: 714 spots
- Meadowvale GO: 1652 spots
- Streetsville GO: 1540 spots
- Erindale GO: 2193 spots
- Cooksville GO: 1688 spots
- Dixie GO: 991 spots
Please note: On Sunday, Sept. 14, there will be a TTC subway line closure on Danforth-Bloor Line 2 between St. George Station and Broadview Station.

What type of work is happening:
Metrolinx is transforming GO Transit to bring more frequent service to Lakeshore West seven days a week, so you won't need a schedule because you know the next train will be coming soon. To support the future addition of service, key areas of the corridor along Lakeshore West are being expanded.
